$10,000 collection of classic Air Jordans stolen from home

2001-version of the Air Jordan.

It’s not unusual for people to steal Nike shoes. But it is unusual to steal $10,000 worth of sneakers – from one guy.

Also, it’s unusual for one guy to own $10,000 worth of sneakers.

Bryant Toala, 22, of Charlotte, told WCNC-TV that he’s been collecting Air Jordan shoes since he was in middle school. But burglars broke into his home on Mapleridge Drive last week and stole all 30 pairs in his collection.

They also stole the baseball caps that matched the shoes.

The burglars apparently came in through the bedroom window.

So keep an eye out for anyone in Charlotte-Mecklenburg who’s wearing – or, more likely, selling – Air Jordans that apparently came out of a time machine.
